Southern Swamp: Streams of pink and purple tinged water weave its way through the maze of inlets between the green marsh grass. The colors in the sky range from lilac to apricot, while the sun spreads a myriad of colors within its own space. As though in its own orbit, deep orange, pink and red surround the spherical ball of bright yellow. The edges of the pink and red rays taper at each side, resembling wings stretched out in flight. Even the wisp of white cloud above looks like a halo floating on top of the sun. The painting reads from darker hues in the left corner to a brightening in the right corner, showing the range of colors that can appear within a single snapshot of a Southern swamp.
